If you want to find out about the Last Romance RPG, then you have come to the right place! The Last Romance RPG is a progressive, well-moderated email-based role playing game for players of all time and talent. If you are interested in joining a freeform fantasy-based role play, then I hope you will consider joining this game. Well, since I am the person who made this game, perhaps I should introduce myself. My name is Amanda and I am the list-owner of this game. I am 23 years of age, am a gothic romance writer etc. etc. etc.  (visit my web page here if you really want to know all of it) and I have derived the idea for this game largely from fairy tales, Romantic literature, Pre-Raphaelite art and fantasy art. If you like any of those things, you will definitely like this RPG. This is not a Dungeons and Dragons type RPG, though if you want to use your Dungeons and Dragons character, that is fine. But you must post with a storytelling voice. Please give more concern to your characters thoughts, emotions and relationships rather than with whom they are going to war and how many hit points they have (???).

 What does it mean that this game is "Romantic?" Well, I use the term to describe the Romantic art and literature of the nineteenth century which exalted the medieval period. This game takes place in a fantasy landscape based on the concept of a medieval world. That means, no modern technology and no cellular phones (ahhh...."). "Romantic" doesn't mean love relationships necessarily, but a sensitivity to the emotions and the individual. Your posts should consist mainly of the individual's thoughts and emotions, a subjective survey of that character, rather than an objective view of a battleground.

This role playing game also has an overtone of "dark fantasy." What does that mean? Well, many characters are faeries, beasts, mermaids, elves, gnomes, sorcerers, vampires, all of that. If you like any of those things, then this is the place for you. Due to the potential for violence and adult matter, this RPG is rated approximately PG-13. Ready to get started? Visit the newbie page or character gallery for guides to selecting and building your characters. This RPG takes place in a medieval-based fantasy world, but beyond that, your options are limitless. You must post your character in the third-person point of view. Describe your character's thoughts as well as actions in each post. Do not describe the thoughts or actions of any character you are not playing unless the player has already described that character's thoughts and actions. In other words, do not role play other characters that are not your own. Please read the rules before joining the game. Once you have joined The Last Romance RPG, you may write a biography of your character, then send it to the moderator at [email protected] . Be sure to include the following information in your character's biography: name, physical description, age, race, special skills, and history. Also, you may add a brief part about yourself and what other RPG's you belong to, your email address, website, etc. I will add your biography and picture to the gallery. If you do not have a picture of your character, I may find one I think is suitable. Before you begin posting on the list, it would be good to first post your biography, so that other players will have a sufficient amount of information about your character. You do not need the moderator's permission to post. We have not had any problems with inappropriate characters yet, and I am certain any character you create will be a welcome addition! Be certain to follow the rules, and you will be sure to enjoy the game.
