Rules
The Last Romance RPG is an email-based role
playing game run through Yahoo!
Groups. Members of the game may participate to an extent of
their choosing. Those who wish to lurk or set their preferences to
"no mail" are welcome. Any technology anachronistic to a medieval
world i.e. computers is not acceptable for the game, but plot
devices such as time travel and magick are considered acceptable.
Please follow the follow rules to ensure your comfort and the
comfort of other players. Continued disregard of these rules will
result in your being banned from this list.
Do not
under any circumstances start a flame war with another player. If
someone advertently or inadvertently role plays your character, this
is not a good enough reason to harangue and abuse them through the
list. You may email me
privately to settle the problem. If you say anything
disparaging about another player publicly I will email you
privately and ask you to change your behavior. Do not enforce
rules yourself or point fingers. It is up to me as moderator to
enforce the rules. If you don't think I am doing a good enough job of
that you may email me
privately.
You may not role play another person's character. Sometimes there are
gray areas. For example, sometimes we create minor characters that may
be killed off because they are not official characters. You may not
kill or maim another character without that player's permission,
however. You also may not assume actions or thoughts on the part of
the other player (unless your character simply thinks that is how they
are reacting). Nothing is more frustrating than having your character
taken over by someone else in a scene. It takes the enjoyment from the
game. For the record, the most-broken rule is the first rule
listed. This is the second most-broken rule. You may not think you are
capable of breaking these rules, but even with the best of intentions
sometimes we make mistakes. Therefore take note especially of these
two rules. The other rules are less important.

You are welcome to make out of character "ooc" posts to the list, but
signify them in the subject like as "ooc" when posting them. Title in
character "ic" posts with an appropriate subject such as the name of
your character or the setting. Make certain your subject is relevant
to your post so that there is no confusion about your post. Continual
"RE:" posts with a recycled subject line may be confusing when the
plot has moved onward.
Make your posts in the third person point of view. This rule is
subject to change. Everyone should, however, be using the same point
of view to post.
You are allowed to play more than one character on the list. Properly
introduce second and third characters to the list, and provide the
moderator with a bio for
new characters, so there is no confusion on the list about your
characters.
